Spencer's Favorite Sports Moment

"Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals – Blazers vs Lakers. Sitting in the nosebleeds with my dad at STAPLES Center while Kobe lobbed to Shaq to complete the comeback."

Spencer Breecker is Managing Partner for Kauffman Sports Management Group and works directly alongside President and Founder Steve Kauffman.

In his role, Spencer advises KSMG’s coaches and front office executives on all aspects of career management and spearheads client strategy and positioning, job preparation and procurement and contract negotiations.  Spencer is also responsible for leading KSMG’s strategic planning efforts and managing the day-to-day operations of the firm.

Since joining KSMG, Spencer has been an instrumental part of the firm’s transition from player representation to professional coaches and front office personnel.  His efforts have contributed to the hiring of coaches and general managers including Steve Clifford, Lionel Hollins, Jeff Hornacek, Michael Malone, Jeff Bower and Ryan McDonough to name a few.   He’s also helped many D-League coaches like Steve Hetzel, Jay Larranaga, and Earl Watson in creating a pathway to an NBA bench.

Under Spencer’s leadership, KSMG launched the NCAA division, focusing on men’s and women’s collegiate basketball coaches.  And, in 2015, he successfully orchestrated broadcast opportunities for clients Vinny Del Negro and Michael Malone through a newly created partnership with broadcast veteran Maury Gostfrand and Vision Sports Group LLC.

Spencer is entering his sixth year with the firm after starting in 2010.  Prior to KSMG, Spencer worked for AEG creating online marketing initiatives for AEG’s Los Angeles based professional sports teams including the Lakers, Clippers, Galaxy, and Sparks.

He began his professional career as a sales and marketing assistant with the San Diego Chargers establishing and maintaining suite accounts and monitoring corporate sponsorship agreements.

Spencer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of San Diego and lives in Santa Monica.
