Career Highlights

As the Associate Head Coach at Indiana University, Buckley has helped the program reach the NCAA Tournament three times, the Sweet 16 twice, won a Big Ten Championship, and has recruited three top-10 NBA draft picks (Oladipo, Zeller, Vonleh)

As the head coach at Ball State University, Buckley has an overall record of 143-139 including a 2002 season that earned him MAC West Division Conference Championship and an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA NIT Tournament 

As an assistant coach at Marquette University, Buckley helped recruit NBA superstar Dwyane Wade and reached the 2nd round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament

Worked under Steve Alford at the University of Iowa

Also spent time as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, appearing in the 1994 NCAA Tournament, and Ball State University, the 1995 MAC Tournament Champions

Earned his Bachelors Degree in Communications and Masters Degree in Physical Education Administration from Bemidji State University, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011

Inducted into the Waubonsee Community College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012
